Blog Update: 10 May 2013

Due to an extremely crazy schedule, I've decided to only publish abridged versions of the blog thus far (as originally published in Cape Times, with a bit more vrooooom!)

Unfortunately, a blog never draws a lot of hits and the projects and eco accommodation features must take precedence (as well as the necessity of earning some cash through freelance work). I'm also trying to spend some time monetising this site so I can afford to work on it full-time!

For those fans who've stayed with us all the way - don't give up yet. We are in the midst of some exciting projects, including a photographic exhibition and fundraiser showcasing some of the incredible images documenting on the journey, a coffee table book and possibly even a TV series.

All underway.

So life is frantic - which means some things have to fall by the wayside. So this blog will be updated right till the END (whoop whoop) but won't be in as much detail or have as many pictures.

Still, hope you enjoy it anyway!

If you've enjoyed the content on this site and would llike to help this website keep going, please consider making a small donation.

Eco-travel & Lifestyles

Hi, my name is Melissa and I created this site together with photographer Christopher List to help spread awareness about green lifestyles and travel, so everyone can learn how easy it is to live in a sustainable way. Enjoy!

Testimonials

I wasn't sure what a permaculture design course was about, until I read through Melissa's fantastic blog! I've signed up and soon I'll be a PDC graduate too.

The link between personal responsibility and preserving our environment is becoming increasingly clear to me. Reading up on simple ways to be more eco-friendly in my life and travels has really helped me practice what I preach.

I can't wait to follow Melissa and Chris' adventures in the Middle East and Africa. You guys inspire me!
