Our route

Our route began on June 8th, 2012 in Cape Town.
We drove all the way up the Garden Route (zigzagging into the Karoo) and into the Eastern Cape. Then into the Transkei, Kwazulu Natal and Swaziland, stopping over in Mozambique before heading into Mpumulanga and Limpopo.
We headed down into Gauteng and the North West province, then into the Northern Cape before entering the Western Cape on the last leg of our journey.
Though initially we set it to six months and 7000 kms, with stops at different permaculture projects, eco-villages and eco-friendly establishments along the way, it ended up being a record 15,000 km and 9 months!
The map below is by no means accurate - and will be updated soon, but that is the general route we followed, with LOTS of zigagging inbetween and a detour up the coast of Mozambique as far as Vilanculos!
